Back Home Revenir Review

While the drivers now get a new road, the family is blocked in and can go nowhere. And sitting out in the yard to watch television has definitely lost its charm. However, it does not stop elder daughter Judith from sunbathing within easy sight of the motorists.

I think that the strengths of this movie is that it shows the whole picture and that everything is linked with everything else. Its HD picture is almost as good as "Planet Earth". Personally I thought the beginning was at bit slow, but It gets better... The visuals for 'Home' are for the most part near perfect- pinpointing the beauties and miracles of this world, whilst also the disgraces and disasters with a total sensitivity and respect for all sides of the issue.

Sciamma’s personal message on grief and mourning runs deep in the veins and becomes memorable despite its slow pace and its lack of an efficient soundtrack. Visually stunning aerial photography of the Earth in a two-hour film with an ecological education agenda. Visually, this film is on a par with Baraka, Blue Planet, and Planet Earth, and seems to have been filmed largely with the same type of aerial video apparatus (Cineflex V14 HD Gyro-stabilized Aerial Camera System). Interestingly , the film appears to have been adulterated by increasing the color saturation in many scenes. I recommend the documentary to everybody who still believes that living the American dram of heaving a big house and 2 cars is still the way to go.

When you are shopping online, you would never have to deal with the frustration of a crowded shop. That’s why shopping online is a smoother experience. As much as the hughstreet retailers will hate to admit it, products available in online stores generally tend to be cheaper when compared to the physical stores. On the other hand, you are provided with some exciting opportunities to save money as well.

Or later, when the father decide to cross the motorway, carrying a big fridge, with the help of his sons and daughters. They must wait for the night and a lighter traffic to succeed in that perilous mission. A wonderful ending subtly bittersweet makes this a film worth watching. One day, the boy sees trucks on the carriageway, whilst out on his bike. Soon after telling his father, who doesn't believe him, the motorway is resurfaced overnight.

"Home" in spite of its premise, doesn't feel claustrophobic at its darkest moments. Ms. Meier wanted perhaps to make a statement for the obvious changes that progress, by way of a new highway, brings. After all, don't we all want to escape to other, more interesting, and quieter places? The family's foundation is shaken by the advent of outsiders looking in on them. They were fine by themselves, but now, even the most menial things like hanging clothes to dry take a different meaning. Something will have to give, and it does, as the movie grows more and more dark.

This is my first review on IMDb ever, but I thought this documentary deserved it. The cinematography of this documentary is amazing, even the images of pollution of the environment that humans have caused look remarkably appealing to the eye. But this documentary is much more than a stream of beautiful images from across the world.

The film was not shown in theatres in my area, nor was it shown on TV, except on the French channel (of course ... all the best stuff is on the French channels in my area) so I did appreciate the simultaneous Youtube release of this film. Given the free home viewing, a torrent would have been even more preferred, for portability and quality. My poor PC had trouble keeping up with the video AND the downloading at the same time. The vast differences in class structure in the west from the east. The vast amounts of wealth owned by 2% of the population.

What impressed me much was the attitude the family face this change with. From outside is easy to think cynically to leave the house where the old fashioned life is no possible anymore. But in reality, I think in every real family, this does never happen. So people act patching step after step the ongoing emergency till they found themselves trapped inside without even possibility to breath.

Björn Borg was the defending French Open champion, and his long hair and signature headband were, in fact, the poster image for the 1981 games. Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Chris Evert (then known as name of Evert-Lloyd), Ivan Lendl, Ilie Năstase and Martina Navratilova are all present and we can watch these players and others on and off the pitch. Klein’s camera captures them in players’ living rooms and locker rooms , as well as their volleys and antics on the pitch. McEnroe’s tactic of intimidating the referees is well known, as is the playfulness of Năstase, the physical shyness of Lendl and Arthur Ashe in the stands watching his protege Yannick Noah.

In the Drome region, in southeastern France — further east than the original Lot department of the novel — agrarian families struggle to get by. But this might be news for Thomas , who is returning to the family farm after a dozen or so years in Montreal, where he works in a restaurant. When he arrives, all the cows of his childhood are gone. In their place, he sees the cute Alex , his 6-year-old nephew whom he has never met before. Mona , Alex’s mom, also doesn’t immediately recognize the man with the curly blond hair, though he is the older brother of Mathieu, Alex’s late father and Mona’s late boyfriend.

In any event, as the film opens, they live in a comfortable small home in the middle of vast fields and next to the highway, which hasn't been used for 10 years. So much is the road their turf that the story begins with them playing a family game of street hockey on its pavement.
